The final of the Republican children's vocal art competition "April" was held on April 2. The event was held within the framework of the Decade of Childhood announced in the Russian Federation.

The Director-General of the Republican Center for Folk Art Artur Alibakov,, welcomed the participants of the contest, noting that the “April” contest had its first anniversary this year, which is especially symbolic for the center, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary.

The winner of the Grand Prix of the competition was Daria Zabolotskaya from Blagoveshchensk. Laureates of I-III degrees and diploma winners were also determined. The finalists of the competition were 156 participants aged 6 to 16 years. The performing skills of the participants were evaluated by a jury chaired by the People's Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Republic of Tatarstan, the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Candidate of Art History, Professor of the Department of Vocal Art of the Ufa State Institute of Arts. The jury members of the competition were Svetlana Slyaguzova and Rif Arslanov.
