One of the first Bashkir women writers Khadiya Lutfullovna Davletshina was born on March 5, 1905 in the village of Khasanovo, in Pugachevsk region of Samara province. She got her education at Samara Pedagogical College and the Bashkir State University.
Kh. Davletshina’s first short story “Khylyukai-pioneer” was published in 1926. Then her story “Aibika” (1931), which brought fame to the writer, was published. She worked in the genre of prose. The main characters of her stories and novels are women-activists, participants of the struggle for the better life. The novel “Irgiz” (1954) is a big achievement in describing the historical past of the Bashkir nation and the formation of the genre are structural poetics of large-scale epic forms.
