Гали Муса

Gabdrakhman Galeevich Galeev is a poet.

Years of life: 15.10.1923 – 15.01.2004. 

He was born in the village of Staro-Musino of Abraevskaya volost’ of Ufa conton of the BASSR (nowadays Chismy region RB).

Honoured cultural worker RSFSR (1982)

Laureate of the Republican Award named after Salavat Yulaev (1979)

He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1973), the Order of Peoples’ Friendship, the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2-nd class (1985), Medal for Bravery.

He is a participant of the Great Civil War. He graduated from Davlekanovo Pedagogical School, the Bashkir State Pedagogical University by K.A.Timiryazev (1953), literary courses under the Writers’ Union of the USSSR in Moscow (1963). From March 1942 till 1946 he served in the Red Army.

He worked as a school teacher in Chishmy region , head of the department of literature and art of the magazine “Pioneer” (1952-1959), literary advisor of the Writers’ Union of BASSR (1959-1963). His first verses were published in 1940, first book in 1953. More than 40 books were published, 14 of them - in Moscow. Works by Musa Gali were translated in many languages of the peoples of the former Soviet Union: Mongolian, Slovak, Rumanian and in many other languages of the world’s languages.
