Мубаряков Арслан

Arslan Kotlyakhmetovich Mubaryakov (Kotloakhmetov Arslan Mubaryakovich) – actor, director, People's Artist of USSR (1955). He is known for playing the role of Salavat Yulaev in dramas and films including the film “Salavat Yulaev” directed by Ya. Protazanov. Member of the CPSU since 1941.

Arslan Mubaryakov was born on December 2 (15), 1908, in the village Assy, Beloretsky region RB. Since 1934 and till the end of his life he worked at the Bashkir Academic Dramatic Theater as an actor, producer, art director and director. He has staged more than 20 plays. The most famous dramatic works of Arslan Mubaryakov are concerned with the role of Salavat Ulaev in various movies and plays.
A.K. Mubaryakov died on May 5, 1977 in Ufa.
His wife – Yanbulatova Ragida Saitgaleevna (was born in 1915) – actress, poet, playwright. The People’s artist of BASSR (1954), Honoured Artist of RSFSR (1955) and BASSR (1949)
His daughter – Mubaryakova Gyulli Arslanovna (was born in 1936) – theatre and cinema actress, director, People’s Artist of USSR (1990)
Mubariakov has great stage charm and presence; his art is realistic and popular in nature. His best roles have included Shatmurat and Salavat Iulaev in Bikbai’s Karlugas and Salavat, Khudaiberdin in Nigmati’s On the Bank of the Belaia River, the title role in Shakespeare’s Othello, Protasov in Tolstoy’s The Living Corpse, Voinitskii in Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya, and Dusmet Iarlykapov in Karim’s A Song Unsung. He created the character of V. I. Lenin in Pogodin’s A Man With a Gun and Third Pathétique. Mubariakov has staged such plays as Bikbai’s Karlugas (1938), Akhmetshin’s Tal’ian-Accordion (1951), and Minko’s Without Naming Surnames (1953). Mubariakov is the author of several plays. He has also appeared in films, including Salavat Yulaev (1941).
