Мусин Нугуман

Nuguman Suleimanovich Musin was born on July 17, 1931 in the village of Kulguna of Ishimbai region, Bashkortostan. He was educated at the Bashkir State Pedagogical University.

He started his literary career in the 50s. Hi tried his hand at poetry while a student. But he excelled in the genre of prose. His first story “my friend” was published in 1954. The theme of Nature and man’s role in it runs through all the works of N.Musin. In most of his essays, scetches, stories “Zukhra” (1956), “Pride” (1962), “The Beauty of the Land” (1967), “Your Love” (1972), the novel “The Eternal Forest” (1978) the problem of effective use of timber resources is raised. He also published great epic works – the novels “The White Deer at the Blue Mountain” (1980). “Before the Spring Flood” (1985), “Set out at Dawn” (1988).

Merits: Honoured Cultural Eorker of Bashkortostan (1981). He was awarded the repubican premium named after Salavat Yulaev (1991), was given the title "People's Artist of Bashkortostan" (2001).
