Mels Vafin – painter. Honoured Cultural Worker RB (1993)

Mels Vafin was born on March 7, 1947 in the village of Staro-Yaksheevo of Baltachevsky region BASSR. He lives and works in Ufa.

Mels Vafin educated from Nizhnetagilsk State Social and Pedagogical Institute (nowadays Nizhnetagilsk State Social and Pedagogical Academy; 1980)

Member of the Artists’ Union RF since 2002. Since 12985 he is a participant of republican, regional, all-Russian and international exhibitions. He is in retirement now.

His works are located in: the Bashkir State Museum of Arts by M.V.Nesterov (Ufa). The Memorial House-Museum by Gabdulla Galiev (Batyrshi) ( Staro-Baltachevo village, Baltachevsky region RB).
